From the General Directorate of Public Health and Food we are informed that an increase in cases of mumps (mumps) has been detected in the last month of July 2007, and it is thought that the accumulation of susceptibles is favoring the circulation of the virus among the population. The disease is affecting more frequently some population groups that have not received two doses of MMR vaccine with the mumps component or because some of the doses did not contain the Rubini strain (Triviraten of Bern). To ensure that they have administered two doses of MMR vaccine that are Jeryl Lynn, Urabe or RIT 4385 strain, it is recommended to review the vaccination status of the following age groups:- People born between January 1, 1995 and December 31, 1998 (aged between 9 and 12 years in 2007) - People born between January 1, 1985 and December 31, 1988 (aged between 22 and 19 years in 2007)
