Michelle: My focus the first time was the baby. Making sure that, you know, my baby had everything it needed. Not necessarily myself as the vessel. There is a lot to be said for people that say, you know, "keep in shape," like, "prepare your body" – that is something that you should focus on.

Amy: Whenever you're tired to not push through it but to actually take a nap.

Susana: Nature is wise, and if your body says you need to rest or do something nice for you, you should do it. And stop worrying so much.

Amy: There's a huge shift that happens when you're carrying, you know, a substantial amount of weight – more than what you may be used to – and so going to prenatal yoga and doing things that kind of realign my body and help it understand this new weight and this new distribution and to make sure that I'm strong and as strong as possible for labor.

Susana: A lot of advice from different people just creates more confusion than it helps, so listen to your own body. Of course, trust people that you know, like your mom. Of course, family support is very important, but the rest is secondary, I think.
